From December 2000 through July 2005, Doug Coulbert worked with families and children living in Kibera slum in Nairobi, Kenya. His work became known as "Moja Moja" which means "one by one" in Swahili. This website describes the work of Moja Moja from 2001 through 2005.
Doug and a few friends and
family continued to privately sponsor the needs of a family of seven orphans
in Western Kenya, from 2005 through 2009. |

Today, he continues to be
actively involved in the lives of several Kenyan families but publicly
supports the efforts of
Lahash International
which operates in Kenya as well as in
several other East African counties. |
